That is an interesting case.
We purportedly ignore instances of contact with 3rd parties; these are not in the scope (e.g. “I’ll text them on Telegram” or “I texted Kingsley on Telegram”).
“I’ll text on Telegram” is somewhat ambiguous as far as the recipient goes, although pragmatically it should probably be part of the scope, yes.
The original intent was to catch scammers and bad actors luring people out of the social networks, e-commerce portals, etc., and we wanted to minimise the number of false positives. Needless to say, an exchange of contact details normally involves more than one utterance, so we have multiple chances to capture the point of contact.
